Wedding Service

By tigertimb
I'd played around with a similar shot during the rehearsal that I liked, so during the reading I snuck up the front to grab this. I'm guessing the focus on the cross won't be to everyone's taste, but I thought it was an appropriate theme for the service.

f2.8 to blur the background and a little bit of work in post-processing to bring out the details in the wood and remove one of the lights from the wall

Would value any comments, criticisms and suggestions

A well-balanced composition; you have done extremely well with the exposure against some pretty harsh back lighting. The cross is entirely appropriate to the occasion, assuming that the bride & groom were not both atheists!

Good use of dof here, concentrating on the cross. The strong backlight from the windows has worked to your advantage, showcasing the cross very nicely.

This treatment gives a very special feeling to the service
