Taken in White sands New Mexico. I thought this pole, even if uninteresting added a lot to the composition. Not 100% sure but I think these are put there so people dont get lost in the dunes. I know I did a couple of times. Thank you for your time. Please click here to view BIGGER

You know I'm a fan Pat, and I don't know if you will read my comment , but for me the pole doesn't need to be there. I find it detracts my eye from that wonderful sky. I think I like the solitude of the image without the pole (but that's just me of course).

Nice work Pat. Poles' not straight and neither is the sand's horizon, although I'm sure the camera is horizontal. Makes the eye jump back and forth. lovely image all the same,
