LIANA'S RANSON

By TimothyDMorton
During the Canada Day Weekend of 2013 my hometown had a series of TALL SHIPS coming into Hamilton Harbour for the War of 1812 Bicentennial Commemorations and over the next few days I will be giving description of the ship along with the post processing techniques and as well taking a break from my bird photography.

About the ship Registry: Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.
With the Length overall: 85 feet, Length on deck: 65 feet, Beam: 21 feet, Draught: 6.5 feet center board up, 10 feet center board down
Displacement: 53 tons and Ballast: 25,000 lbs. The Rig: Two masted, Gaff rigged, Square Top Sail schooner with the Sail Area: 2500 square feet. Features a crew: 3 to 5 and passengers are up to 70.
It was build in 1998 at Quick Marine, Houston, Texas and construction: Steel.

The post processing opened in Camera-in-the-RAW and corrected the colour balance, and from their opened in the full Adobe Photoshop Elements 7, and resized to 600 x ? px and applied the UNSHARP MASK till it looked sharp and then saved as JPEG image for upload to this GALLERY.

Lastly prior to my last upload from this series I hope to have completed an Audio Visual Programme on them using Picture to EXE.

Interesting information. To me there seems to be Portugese elements in this well crafted ship design. Super POV and a fine image. TG
