Hello, Tina. Not just a tree, but one silhouetted by the backlighting of the sun, and contrasting foliage where the sun is touching some parts. It has good contrasting areas of light and shadow, a good blue sky, and smaller trees converging towards the main subject and framing the bottom of the image. You have good focus, colour, composition and have held the exposure well, considering you were shooting into the sun, but have placed it neatly and cleverly behind the trunk of the tree to avoid overexposure. Portrait format is ideal for the tall tree. I would have preferred to see the sun and main tree a little more off centre, but it looks ok here. The image is a bit dark, especially at the top, in the foliage area, and could do with a boost to bring out the blues and greens better. My modification shows brightening, lifting of the shadows, increasing of highlights, a touch of saturation and a slight levels adjustment.
