Great Pyramid of Giza

By tj
The Great Pyramid of Giza was such an awesome sight - even amidst a sand storm! Such a sad, incredulous shame to see graffiti on the stone though Sad

Nice!! The lighting/sky here has given the pyramid a rather mysterious look, and mysterious it is indeed!

When I was there, I went there in the morning and the sky was too clear and lighting was quite harsh. So i didn't manage to get such a nice shot.

Incidentally, today, I've just posted a photo of what I saw inside a pyramid... was quite claustrophic for me! =)

Thanks for your comment. Your pic of the inside is great! Effective lighting. It really adds to the very intense feeling of claustrophobia!

We also went inside, and I found it too claustrophobic and started having a panic attack! Worth it though!

Just a shame we had poor visibility the day we went, as I would've liked a pic of all three in line...never mind, it gives me an excuse to return! ;D

Yes it really is "awesome" as you say and the size of the Pyramids and Sphinx can only be appreciated when you go there! The dust storm gives a really eerie feeling to this photo! Nice shot!

There are no words to describe how impressed one could be with the ancient Egyptians, it was my always my dream to see the great pyramid of Giza and I was not disappointed by the pyramids.
