Morning at the jetty

By tom_earwaker
Panajachel, Guatemala. Waiting for the boat to fill up before we could leave. I made some minor tweaks to levels/curves and cropped a bit. Any comments welcome, thanks for looking.

All I can suggest is a little more room on the left and at the top, to allow that lovely post tbe complete. Maybe lose a fraction on the right...

Well spotted, and nicely executed.

It's a really attractive image. First of all, it solves the problem of what someone does with their hands when they stand for a photo. And being able to lean on something gives nice relaxed body language.

I just can't help wondering how tall that post was on the left, imagining its top in the frame. So like John I would prefer a bit more height. But that's a minor quibble.

Tom great picture, the only two things I would have change is the shadow across the face and the post his hand is on so it doesn't lead the eye out of the picture. Sometimes when using a zoom it's worth pulling back a bit as you can always crop later.

Good shot, nice light, nice casula pose.

Needs a CW rotation to level; shade WB makes it a bit too warm, and adding that post top makes a big difference, - Ive added it in the mod.

Thanks everyone. Unfortunately the post was really high, this is cropped down quite a bit but the original didn't include the top of the post! Adding in the top does make a big difference though, I like the mod.
