There was a clay shoot this morning in the adjacent field, so I carried on up to the local farmhouse for another reccy.
I didn't get any shots, but the birds were in abundance. There were flocks of yellowhammers, reed buntings, redwings, fieldfares, skylarks and a few bullfinches. Not to mention sparrows, chaffinches etc;.
Bumped into John (local farmer), who offered the invitation to come up anytime. Needs a bit of planning to work out the ideal spot to locate, but I am sure I will get there.
I regard it as an extension to The Coppice, as there is nearly a direct link between the fields.
Nowt new appeared yet at the feeders. Just the opposite, because I haven't seen the Nutty in a while now
Also John informed me that the adjacent field is being left fallow until the summer at least. Should be a paradise for the butterflies etc; in the spring.
Merry Christmas all
