Butterflies 2015 No 4

By tomcat
The Small Tortoiseshells Aglais urticae were out in force yesterday at one of my local spots
This one duly obliged for a photographSmile

I went specifically for Orange-tips, but none to be seen.
I did however see one today, where I would have expected to see them, so hopefully a few more days of warm weather will bring them out.

Nowt else on the wing, due to the high winds we have been experiencing during the course of the daySad

Many thanks to Julia (NaturesHaven), Mike (hasslebladuk), Tony (TonyDy), Lillian, Jenn (taggart), Jenny (Jenny-D), Derek (DerekL) & Fred (Fred263), for their generous awards given to my previous upload
Really appreciated guys & galsWink

A marvellous close up of this small tortoiseshell, such splendid detail and colours captured. There are a good number of these and the peacocks on the wing at present
