Hummingbird Hawkmoth

By tomcat
A Hummingbird Hawkmoth(Macroglossum stellatarum) taken earlier in the week at Pensthorpe reserve in Norfolk.
Just wandering about and it suddenly appeared.
Needless to say,I was quite pleased to manage a few shots before it went on its merry way.
A superb holiday in Norfolk has hopefully kickstarted my urge to be out and about with the camera.

Norfolk! Well, at least they are in the UK - now all I want is for them to find Devon! This is gorgeous, I feel quite jealous!
Superbly timed capture. Excellent fine detail and lovely colour.

A brilliant capture, not easy to get good shots of this little moth, well done. I feel the same as KarenFB, very envious!!. Have had these in my garden before but never yet got a good shot.

Best wishes
