Mating Kingfishers.

By callaby
Not to the standard of KBan and Alan Willis who’s shots of this little bird are always excellent, nonetheless I thought this set worth posting. Many had to be deleted because the wind was quite strong and the camera/lens was getting blown around quite a bit, hence the poor quality of these captures. I think those that hand held smaller lenses were less affected by the wind but the “Sigmonster” cannot be hand held, tripod only I’m afraid. I’ve left them uncropped to add a country feel to the shots. Apologies also for the inconsistency in editing, I'm not skilled with it at all.

I think I recognise these as being the pair at Slimbridge, the backgrounds and shots seem similar to some of mine. You must have been there at the same time as myself in the Kingfisher hide. A fine set documenting their courtship and them mating
