Garden Shed

Hi folks , This image was taken at Beamish . BRILLIANT location , photographers paradise, will visit again because there is so much to capture. Well worth a visit. Now to the image ! The rule of thirds apply to the rusting machinery in the background but then the window pushes forward and the rule of thirds goes right out of the window, pun intended. I obviously like the image because it is a little bit different. What do you folks think, Kind regards, all comments welcome as per usual Wink Mickey.

Hello, Michael. I like this a lot, and have liked a lot of images in your portfolio too. You like to present something a bit different, and that's always a pleasure to view. You have a little bit of mystery and intrigue here, with the little gap in the net curtain, and I agree with Frank, this is the main element in the image, with the rusty machinery coming second, but adding some context and further interest. I think this looks good and makes the image less of an abstract than a picture of just the window. Your detail on the wood, and the warm colours, are very nice.
Pamela.

Just to try something different, Ive tried a square crop. I do like the shot, but Im drawn to two different shots in one.

Hi Willie, thankyou for the modifacation . With the website having a new layout and me not having been able to visit for some time I am still getting to grips with the site, thanks for the help. I like your idea of a square crop on the window , BUT !! you have created another problem for me as the rusting machinery is now cut in half and I feel with respect this is a little bit distracting on the crop. , Kind regards Mickey,Grin

Youre right Mickey, - so perhaps we have two shots, - you could crop to have half the window and all the machinery, or just the window (which I was inclined to do but chickened out!), - a conundrum!
