Shaggy Scalycap

By Tony_M
I found this cluster of Shaggy Scalycap - Pholiota squarrosa - brightly lit by the late afternoon sun at the base of a beech tree in Foxholes BBOWT nature reserve.

It was one of the few things left after the fungi-foragers had done their rounds.

Beautiful shot a family of mushrooms. The speckled highlights of sienna and brown invite lot of interest.
