Langdale 3 - Great Langdale Beck

By Tony_W
Taken from Great Langdale Beck looking towards Langdale Pikes.

I liked how the paving, wall, river and trees all appeared to converge on one point. I would have liked more light on the distant hills but after days of rain I was grateful for the small amount of light that was there.

Following done in PSE4. Levels alteration to balance sky and ground. Increase in contrast and a little sharpening.

I wasn't sure of how much sky to crop so I've posted a mod of the whole image. I thought the more severe crop added more impact. Please let me know what you think.

Exposure 1/160th @ f11 ISO 100

Thanks for looking,

Tony

Your tweaks have really worked on this. Fantastic amount of detail. It really is pin sharp and the range of textures in this is fab.

I like all three Langdales a lot Tony. There's a lot for me to learn from this, in leaving the saturation sliders alone, Your colours are both rich and natural.

Thanks to all who have taken the time to look, comment and vote.

Any opinions on whether the tighter crop on the sky is better than the non cropped version?

Tony
