Christmas is Coming ... The Three Kings

By tony64
Good Morning all! Continuing the Christmas theme, its also pubsign saturday. So, a christmasy sounding pub.

The Three Kings can be found in Farringdon. Last Christmas I paid a visit in order to photograph the sign. The sign is really quite amusing, as instead of the traditional 'Three Kings' we have depicted;
1. King Kong
2. Elvis
3. King Henry V111

Not sure how long this sign and concept has been around but someone was being very creative!

Have a good weekend!

Excellent, makes a change from the usual 3 Kings! What's the beer like. Do you visit to just photograph or to sample too...? Seems a shame to go all that way not to have a sip! Wink

That has got to be the funniest sign I've seen! But I'm fascinated by the two characters above the door, who are they?

Great find, great shot. Gave me a chuckle too. Different but lovely.

The figures on the ledge look quite fearsome. They look like Amazon warriors.....perhaps guarding against those three malcontents.
The sign is a humorous take, for sure.

You are really enjoying this series aren't you? So am I and this sign is the best yet. As for the figures over the door - with the addtion of rolling pins they could be the wives waiting at home! On second thought - wives don't wait at home now - they get there first. Well seen.

Superb sign, a brilliant find this one. Well photographed too, with those extra details.
Next week my pub sign bears a common enough name (Red Lion) but a rare history - I used to drink there!

Very seasonal name - now I wonder which of these would bring the gold, the frankinsense and the Myrrh!!
