Mesa Arch is a window onto the desertscape of southeastern Utah. It lies right on the edge of the Island in the Sky Mesa, at the top of a 600-foot drop-off into Buck Canyon. The arch is small by Utah standards-roughly 50 feet long and 15 feet high. Nevertheless it presents some nice views of the canyons below. The La Sal Mountains are nicely framed by the opening on the background, with the Monster Tower and Airport Tower rising from the White Rim Plateau in the foreground.
I photographed the arch in November 2006 at first light, when the bottom of the span was brilliantly lit by the first rays of sun light.
For anyone interested in seeing the full arch I have loaded an image on the modified area.
This is a real beauty - taken at just the right moment as the rising sun catches the arch and some of the rocks in the middle distance. The exposure is well controlled throughout with detail in all areas. I like the way the distant pinnacle acts as a focal point. A photograph to be proud of.

Another stunning image Antonio, excellent exposure, the distant pinnacle provding a good focal point, great tones and texture in the foreground and good detail in all areas through the arch.

Excellent. I love the way the light and the atmosphere bring out the contours of the land in the distance. (It feels as though the image could do with a slight clockwise rotation - but as I'm not familiar with this area you'll probably tell me that isn't the case.) Lovely colours. Click.

First I must say "I am very sorry". I have no idea how I have missed your portfolio - it is spectacular.
I love the point this one has been taken from - much more impressive than the whole arch

Fantastica imagen.
Me encanta el color que tienen las rocas bañadas por el sol, y justo ese punto para sacar la foto es perfecto.
Muy buen trabajo.

Ah yes, this is the classic scene. And you really nailed the time of day perfectly. Excellent light and as good as I've ever seen it! The full arch is spectacular too, but I can see why you chose this composition.
