Smokers Room

By Tonyd3
Taken in a derelict building near Liverpool that once was a Grand Hotel owned by Shipping Magnets and high powered business men.
Model is dressed to reflect the derelict nature of the building and its past, the dust was litrally blown of the floor and caught in the sunlight coming though the window.
No additional lighting is added just whats coming though that large window.

Thanks for the clicks comments and user awards on my last image, hope everyone had a good Easter.

Love this - it almost feels like two very different treatments within the image, one for the location and one for the chap in the chair. While the background is very 'real', there's something rather painterly about the man himself and his accessories which I like, as though he's a 'cartoon-version' of his former wealthy self ...

However you've done it, it works very well!

I imagine him plopping down on the chair. Making the dust fly and the beautiful light streaming in catching it. I like how he's watching it. There could even be a small fire in the fireplace behind him. I love just looking all around like I'm exploring, into the dark corners.

There's something strange and intriguing about this; something with the scale and perspective, it looks almost unworldly. The lighting sets it off perfectly. Very effectively done. Allan
