One Frosty AM

By tonyguitar
Our once melting glacier now seems fully restored. Winter has held on here [ mid-Vancouver Island B.C.], all the way into March 17th with mornings just below zero. That was enough to restore our diminished glacier. Shocking high late afternoon temperatures of 21 and 23 Celcius. Many records broken. Sudden Winter transition to summer. Almost no spring this year.

Wonderful contrasts of content here, Tony.
Let's hope the glacier restoration is long lasting!

Bernie;..Thanks so much. Your Award is more than I expected. We are so lucky to have some good natural features, but not nearly as many as you have shown us. Thank you again Bernie. Tony [TG]

Thanks to you as well for tolerating one more version of our junior glacier. Good news to see it 'fatten up ' again. TG

Few people live under the spell of a glacier. Here is a prize winning story that gives you an idea of how powerful the glacier influence is on us. its an audio clip so no reading required.

Here is the link to the original publication (shorter than the Smithsonian URL) https://www.hakaimagazine.com/features/whale-dying-mountain/

Winner of the Jack Webster Award for the best feature story. TG
