I find these guy's are very nervous around us humans & tend to take off the minute they sight one of us, rather than be friendly & stay around to get their photo taken, so, well done TG, you got a first rate capture.

The Panasonic FZ100 has a smalish sensor and a fixed 28 - 400mm zoom. Close targets like this gosander seem to have enough detail in the Jpeg, do you think?
I should try Raw to check the difference, yet quick and efficient seems so important. Too much time at the computer as it is. TG

Compared to the chunky Canon and Nikon rigs, The FZ1000 is a pleasure to point and shoot with.. Has a fast and snappy focus speed. TG

Saw recently a breeding pair. However, they were just too distant for the FZ1000.

I can see you are quite happy with your Lumix. Cool. We obviously share good impressions on this
