Thought it looked familiar! A nice subtle image of a not so subtle mix of industry and countryside. I like the almost monochrome impression.

There's something about the smoke in this photograph that I like - don't know if it looks warming on a cold morning, or if it signifies the intrusion of industry into this landscape? It certainly adds to the scene.

Thanks folks. Taken late pm yesterday it was the smoke I spotted - I just like the way the factory is swallowed up by the landscape but the smoke is caught by the light. I'm drawn to man's influence on the landscape - must get out more. Lots of cameras in evidence on Stanage yesterday, I know I've got loads of raw files to sort out today.

Good shot, the contrast of smoke and the dark hill in the background give it a sense of distance.

The smoke from the industrial chimney actually features well and is strongly contrasted with the background detail. Nice exposure Tony.
