The Rest And Be Thankful.

The Rest and be Thankful is a stretch of the A83 in Argyll and Bute, Scotland, which refers to the lower small winding road seen running north towards my viewpoint in The Trossachs area - there's a name to play with - of central Scotland. The line above is the new road.

The lower original road would often be closed when there was snow about, and also at one time was popular for motor sports.

The title is quite descriptive as I should know, after cycling up it. When I reached the top it was a case of "Rest and Be Thankful" that you made it! The new road has also been closed in the last few years by avalanches coming down the steep slope after heavy rain falls and closing the road. A very nice landscape showing the steep slopes and the sweep of the glen.
