Untouchability , in its literal sense, is the practice of ostracising a minority group by segregating them from the mainstream by social custom or legal mandate...

The Santhals (Dalit section) were treated as untouchable, they couldn't use mainly public places, the visibility of their faces was considered to bring misfortune...But that practice is discontinued by Law and made it a Criminal offence for others to treat them in this manner, Still now they are struggling to be a part of the main stream... Part (I)...
