Simply Red

By achieverswales
Thank you all for all your great comments and votes yesterday, wet to Duffryn Gardens and in between showers did some macro flower shots! Hope you like. After looking at Dave's comment have uploaded the original uncropped, I did a square crop to focus on the red and leave out any element of green, red is not the best colour to expose for.

Good morning, Neighbour,
A true frame filler and so eye catching even as a thumbnail, Trev: a very fine macro shot, detail spot on and I can almost touch the velvety textures on the screen.
Lovely work.....has my seal of approvalWinkWink

Lovely sinuous shapes to the petals and sumptuous colour, Trev. Were you not tempted to crop the left for a square format?

These are gorgeous reds - Dave has once again summed it up by saying the colour is sumptuous!
The textures are almost tangible.

Thanks everyone, Dave have uploaded a V2 uncropped, the crop was a difficult choice as to where to end the crop, kept the stamen on right hand third! But can see where you are coming from mate.

Regards

Trev.

As you say, reds are very hard to capture, but you did a first rate job. Lovely texture to the petals and great detail. The crop in V1 makes a fine image.

Two glorious framefillers, love the deep red colour. I thought I was going to be viewing a pic of Mick Hucknall and the boys when I saw the title!Wink
