And now for something completely different!

By TrevBatWCC
Struggling to think what to upload, I was gazing at my Galileo liquid thermometer and thought 'that would make a good subject'. So having photographed it close up with the macro lens, I fiddled with it in Hue & Saturation to produce different colours on different layers, and put them all together in this montage. I was struggling for a title too! Wink
This will be my last upload I think before I jet off to Stratford-upon-Avon for a few days next week.

Single Raw image processed in Adobe Camera Raw 7, tweaked in Photomatix Pro 4 and Photoshop Elements 11.

Thanks again to everyone for your votes & comments on my previous uploads, it really is appreciated and encouraging.

I really like this Trev - well montaged and some of those colours are just the kind of jewel tones I like so very much.

You have a great few days off.

You have done a good job here Trev. Always something to photograph if we look hard enough.
But have to say that you have got me trying to remember who used to say 'And now for something completely different'. In fact really bugging me!!!!!
Have a great time in Stratford. Moira

Wild colour. I like the presentation but individually I think the top right combination works best for me.

That is a very effective compound abstract, Trev, from an interesting start subject: very well processed and presented.

A nifty bit of manipulation, Trev, 28 degrees fahrenheit I presume!!!

"And now for something completely differently" has been attributed to Christopher Trace for linking segments on Blue Peter initially.

Great still life, you will love Stratford upon Avon so many places of interest and lots of phot opps if I felt better I would have met you there Trev - if you have the time and inclination there is a butterfly house that has insects as well and a chameleon or something like, can't remember the name I am looking for! It's just outside of town over the river bridge and take the turning right a short walk up that road. I found it very interesting, will try and google it and send you a link you can have a look.

I had one of these (and I love it too - a beautiful blue) but Bryn (pup) jumped up and knocked it into smithereens!

This is nicely done Trev -
I spotted it right off, Trev, mine hangs on the wall I have taken it many times BUT never presented it like this, good processing lovely effect and yes I like it good title also .
