Up up and away!

By TrevBatWCC
Taken just 10 minutes after my shots from ground level of The Yorkshire Wheel, showing the aerial view of the Royal Hotel and the railway station just beyond. It was just my luck that the bit of blue sky and sunshine in my previous upload had disappeared when I got on the ride!
Update: Yes, these were taken through the glass windows of the pods you ride in - see The Yorkshire Wheel

Techie stuff: see Exif
Single Raw image processed in Adobe Camera Raw, tweaked in Photomatix Pro and Elements 6

Thanks again to everyone for your votes & comments on my previous uploads, it really is appreciated and encouraging.

Excellent captures Trev, I'm pleased to see you have a head for heights - more than I have! Although I did go on the London Eye a few years ago - very proud of myself for that!

Three fine bird's eye view shots, Trev: gives a different perspective on the City.
We went on the big wheel in George Square in Glasgow last Christmas but the view was not as extensive as these.

Excellent views Trev, Are these taken through glass? if they are then no reflections or any dirt showing, V2 is my choice for composition.

Wow Trev, these are so good they are making me dizzy! V2 is my favourite with its long view of the railway.

Yet another fines set. All three are exceptionally effective but ultimately I have to agree with Lynne that V2 makes the most of that sweeping curve.

Three rather amazing images of this superb Yorkshire City, very hard to differentiate between them, and make defined choice of which one really gets by balloon up and away. However I shall after much consideration opt four Version Number II, simply stunning.

Although I can't look at it for too long before my head starts spinning, my favourite is V3 because I don't think you need the sliver of sky at all.

The curve of v2 for me as well, Trev. Certainly a view I've not seen before.

when I first started seriously into photography I went up the Spinaker Tower and got similar but different shots to yours Trev I was pleased the way they turned out but since then I have improved considerably and wonder perhaps I should go back again seeing your pics - well composed and beautifully sharp

Great shots Trev, especially V3 so much going on, even about to book into the hotel there too
well done, I just did a similar trip on one in Brighton
not as good as these, so maybe put them on as a version behind a 'beastie'

V2 for me Trev the POV from the wheel at that point produced great lines of the platform buildings.
