'Van Gogh's bedroom in Arles' re-framed

By TrevBatWCC
And now for something completely different. Until I take the camera out for walkies again, be prepared for a hotch-potch of archive images and some digital jiggery-pokery! 😁
Using software called PhotoSpiralysis, came up with my version of 'Van Gogh's bedroom in Arles'.
Van Gogh produced three, almost identical paintings on the theme of his bedroom. The first was in October 1888, damaged in a flood whilst Vincent was in hospital in Arles and is located in the Van Gogh Museum, Amsterdam. He made two more two copies almost a year later, one now being in the Art Institute in Chicago, the other produced for his family in Holland is this smaller one shown here, located in the Musée d'Orsay, Paris. The version shows the original as displayed in the Museum.
It's purely coincidental that Isabel's (Chinga) upload yesterday featured a collection of spirals, albeit circular ones not rectangular like mine! 😁
No painting was harmed in the making of this image!

Many thanks to Kate (Irishkate), Sandy (Daisymaye), Carol (canoncarol), Lin (sweetpea62), Isabel (Chinga) and Dave (HobbitDave) for their User Awards on my previous upload, Looking cool on a Camel! , most appreciated 🏆👍

All archive images taken on my 3.2-megapixel compact Nikon Coolpix as Jpegs, and with a bit of tweaking in Photoshop Elements 14!

Thanks again to everyone for your vote & comments on my previous uploads, it really is appreciated and encouraging 😀👍

Trev 😀

This type of digital jiggery-pokery could become an art form in its own right. It's great. and seems to suit this painting well.

As mad as the proverbial box of frogs. (Why a box of frogs?!? 🤔 )
Anyway your rich concoction of lunacy and genius (?) must have its rewards. Please accept this gleaming gong for the trophy cabinet.

In this mad world someone will see something offensive in VG's art, but for now those of us who aren't travelling can enjoy it digitally...and digitally re-mastered...😁😁

An image of ever decreasing rectangles disappearing up it's own, well rectangle I suppose!! What more could anyone want.
Interesting, informative and downright splendid Trev.
A gong from me to.

Excellent piece of playing around. The subject matter is perfect for this, a type of spiral work I've not seen before. Smile

A brilliant bit of fun - would it have put Van Gogh over the edge I wonder?

It's a thin line between genius and lunacy. You appear to balance well, TrevWink - not sure about Vincent, though...
