Blowing a Blizzard

By Trevhas
Today started well with a decent sunrise and great cloud but once on Stanage the weather started to deteriorate beginning with sleet turning to a full blown snow blizzard.

Not the best place to be caught in a blizzard. Superb shot considering the conditions. Peter.

Yes, it started fine Mick then it came down hard with that Stanage wind, I had to take shelter for 15 minutes, the sun tried to break through the mist/cloud, it was like being in a light box !

I thought this might have been from last year, I didn't realise there was snow up there. A great image, it show what a cold and hostile place it can beSmile

It certainly brought back cold memories Ryan, luckily I was well prepared in my full winter gear. Have been out for a stroll this morning, no snow just a keen frost bathing in pink light, amazing !!.
