Chilly Start

By Trevhas
There wasn't any snow on Higger Tor this morning just a gentle covering of frost but the light together with low cloud / mist was amazing. It was nice to meet fellow EPZ member Dave Shandley on the Tor to share the experience with.

Very atmospheric, Trevor, the dusting of snow brings out some lovely ground detail.

Great pic Trev
A great image Trevor, nice capture of the light. The use of the standing stone leads the eye to the edge nicely. Great dynamic lines.

A far better reward than mine on Mam Tor on Saturday morning. I was first to the gate ready for the sunrise that chose to hide behind the freezing fog. That said I was joined by four other photographers, it's a good job we are a sociable lot.

Top notch image.

Thanks for your comments everyone. We are a sociable lot Gavin, as i was saying to Dave Shandley if there's nothing to shoot it's always nice to have a chat and share the disappointment.

Hi Trevor, It was pitch black when I got up there yesterday with thick fog so passed this spot trying to find my way across Higger Tor. Great shot and composition it was nice meeting someone up there, I could not believe I was the only one apart from some runners with this fantastic lighting.
