Sunday Service

Because it was blowing a gale on Stanage yesterday i decided to explore the lower levels below Stanage edge in a secluded valley and discovered this ruin at North Lees.
Turns out that this used to be a 16th century Roman Catholic chapel and the nearby North lees hall was described by Charlotte Bronte in her book ‘Jayne Eyre’ !!……Well there’s always something new to discover here in the Peak District.
