Flat track roller derby has been becoming more popular in the past few years. It's an exiting sport to watch and - according to my friends on the team - play. It's a lot of fun to photograph too, because of the fast action and interesting people on the track and in the crowd.
This photo shows a jammer (blurred foreground) approaching the pack. When a lead jammer is declared, she scores a point for her team for every opponent that she's able to pass.
