First Attempt

By triumphv8
My wife wanted some family pictures 'Venture' style. I refused knowing the prices and said I'd have a go myself.

So this was taken with my Sony Cybershot, a 4ft light cube and 2 second hand flashes with a bit of trigger electronics (about 40 worth in total of EBay), then touched it up on a trial version of Paint shop Pro.

Then we got the image printed on canvas for around 60-80.

Decided then it was something I wanted to get into and now have a Canon 40D

That's pretty good - both doing something and both happy. Kids and B&W belong together. Blimey, Cybershot to a 40D - you don't muck about.

If it's got you hooked on photography, you'd probably have been cheaper with the studio shots!
Great work
