Andy, I would be interested to see your result, if poss?
I'll pm you my email address and perhaps you could email the image back to me?
    Thanks

  • On the threshold....

Thanks for your comments. I appreciate your notes regarding the vignette and, yes, I did use the selection tool and the hue/saturation dialogue box and darkened it down. I shall certainly look at your suggestion, Richard!
    Thanks

  • Hi Key on a Budget!

The white sheet was hung over a large double patio door, which created the background light. The 2 speedlites were each at 45 degrees to the subject, however, I don't think I had them positioned high enough as there is a cross shadow on her. I think I should have placed them slightly higher than her eye level.
There was a white sheet on the floor too, which created some upward reflection of light.

Thanks for your comments. I agree about the shoes, but as I said earlier, she had seen this pose in a magazine and wanted the same shot with shoes. I did try blurring the white sheets a bit more but it seemed to make it look more false - as if I had photographed her and then copied her to a different location. But that may say more about my lack of Photoshop expertise than the layout itself!

This image is stunning, though I am left wondering about the gate in the foreground. Has there been flooding or something? Just curious, but it doesn't detract from a crisp, eye-catching image.
    Super.
