Thank you for your comments. First time I have seen one of these container ships up close and I was overwhelmed by the size of it. It was so big!

  • A View from my town by Bantu

What a lovely view. Its another cold wet miserable day here and I am thinking I would rather be somewhere like that than here !

  • Paramotoring Blues by ttiger8

This is one of two that came buzzing over me when I was out last Sunday. On the way home i passed the field that they were taking off from which i believe is a club so will schedule a visit to see if I can get some better captures.

In the background are actually ship masts. I was hoping to be able to walk far enough to get a picture of the ship but time was against me as it was getting late and light was fading fast. I've uploaded a wide angle version showing the field and ship masts in the distance.

Was hoping to go back to the location this week as it is a lovely place I stumbled across by accident but weather looks pretty grim for most of the week.

  • Finchingfield by ttiger8

I'm not totally happy with this image. Finchingfield is supposed to be the most picturesque village in our county but I don't think my picture does it justice. It may be because of the weather, very cloudy and bad light or the fact that i took these using my older 300d camera. I'll have to schedule a revisit and have another go.

Grey car at the left side edge is mine Smile

  • Bird ID

It could also be a pigeon/dove cross. If there are any dovecots in your area that is possibly the most likely explanation. Ian
