Flying Blind

Who is ths masked bird? I spotted this one at a powwow last spring. I think he is a trained Red Hawk. The owner covered his eyes with this mask so he could catch a few winks during his break.

Hi Ty,this is different,not sure about the mask ties round the neck,and the way they are sticking out the back,i think i have seen a mask on a bird before but this looks huge,must be a good macro.Take care.Ann

A wonderful capture Ty.
I hate it when I see them do this to the birds, but, it has been done for centuries now, to keep them calm & it doesn't hurt them at all, so it must be OK.
