This is really good, it looks as if the forgorund rocks are jumping out the frame at us. It also doesn't look like a typical 16mm wide angle shot and makes it even better.

Thanks a lot. I think that so much of it is about being at the right location in the right light. Combine that with a razor sharp bit of glass in front of a great camera and you're a long way towards getting a good image. Thanks for the feedback.

Thanks a lot, Paul m8, Linda, Robbo and Dave. Looking at this it's hard to imagine the mountain mist that descended shortly afterwards causing a complete white out for around an hour!

Hi Dave. Know what you mean but my trip up to Castell Y Gwynt / castle of the Winds proved to be a more serious undertaking from this side of the Glyderau than I'd bargained for ! Mist, no visible path, and a lot of gear!

Thanks Dougie. I've been very lucky of late and had some good photo opps.

Richard - Cheers, m8. glad you think so Smile

Andy - I was lucky that I had a progression of rocks and heathers, then that drop down into th Llanberis pass and the Snowdon horseshoe beyond - all helping create depth.

Chris - much appreciated.

This is surely as beautiful as any Snowdon mountain scene can get. A real beauty Alun mate.

Thanks, Mark. I really appreciate that. Of all my images I have a strong attachment to this one. To be soppy about it, it was a moment of pure joy at the wonder of the scene before me, never to be forgotten.

Don't know how I missed this one, Alun: a superb scene and beautifully composed and exposed mountain landscape.
