Last light at Ashness Bridge

By Tynnwrlluniau
Ok, ok, I know it’s been done to death but in my own defence I’ve never really had the light I wanted on my last five visits or so 😂 My change of tactic this time was to go late in the afternoon and stand further back using the 24-105 rather than the 16-35. I had to wait about 1/4 hour for a number of people sitting on the bridge to leave but that was unsurprising given the popularity of this location.
Apologies about my lack of consistent presence online but family responsibilities and work commitments have made that a challenge. It is, therefore, always a shock that so many have responded to my shots. I am truly grateful.
Alun

stunning work Alun, I had the one time opportunity there one morning and the background hills were clouded over, good perseverance to keep going back and then to still wait for the crowd to disperse.

It's a very nice shot even though it's been done before. The last time I visited there were tripods everywhere. One fella sat in the middle of the scene for over an hour! I gave up in the end.

And a slightly different viewpoint from standard: the reflections of the background in the water make it a thorough change from the common or garden Ashness Bridge image.

Just “Wow” - persistence and creativity rewarded Alun.
