The view from Bualach na Ba

By Tynnwrlluniau
A trip to Applecross involved negotiating the notorious Bualach na Ba road. It was not as hair-raising as people make out as long as you expect tight hairpin bends. This is the view from the top of the pass looking across to Rum and the Isle of Skye with the Cuillin on the rhs. While I waited for the best light for this stitched pano and a hazy evening drew to a close a Tesco delivery van hurtled past on its way to Applecross - high octane stuff 😂

When we drove over the top of the pass was shrouded in cloud, so it's great to see what we missed!

Been over the pass twice and seen the inside of a cloud both times! Now I'm even more disappointed.

Stunning capture Alun, last time I was up there couldn't see more than 4 feet in front of you. Wish it had been clear looking at this image.

A beautiful image Alun and a stunning view. We went over to Applecross in March 2018 and it was an experience going up this road as there was a lot of snow up there. The views were amazing though. Didn't feel quite as bad on the way back, knowing what to expect Grin
