Rhue Lighthouse near Ullapool

By uggyy
This is a photo showing the Lewis Ferry heading past Rhue Lighthouse, near Ullapool on the NW Coast of Scotland.

The Sunset was amazing that night and came from no where. I acualy wasn't prepared to find a good spot to take some shots. This was close bye at the time and had to do. Hope you like.

Note, this is a repost from a few mins ago, removed a vapor trail from an aircraft.

A well balanced composition, nice sky colours. As you have said the sunset came from nowhere - that`s very often the case here - very unpredictable.

Good strong elements in foreground, sea and sky to give an interesting effect. Well captured.

Great shot (and I'm also well familiar with this place, we have friends who live just above the lighthouse!)
