Skye - Staffin

By uggyy
This was taken the last week at Skye. Again it was rainning. So this was snapped when I cleared the rain from the lense.

The photo is from a view spot near a village called Staffin. I had spent a great holiday there about 15 years ago and had to visit it, it was very like it had been and I dont think I will wait another 15 years to visit it again.

More a memory capture than a great picture but hope it catches something of the place. Crit welcome.

Very nicely composed and I like the foreground flowers. You did a great job considering the low cloud you were up against.

foreground detail is fabulous and the composition really accentuates the curve of the cliff face. The low cloud maybe detracts a little but, then, maybe adds atmosphere. I can't quite make up my mind but I don't think it makes a huge difference because those other factors dominate.

One of the best areas of the island for me. Dramatic cliffs and rock formations, a picturesque village in Staffin and the best village name in Scotland nearby - Culnacnoc.

Well done for getting out and shooting when the weather wasn't at its best - you've done well.

Well done again for not letting the weather put you off, you seem to make excellent use of the low light conditions. Great feeling of the size of the cliffs from this angle, well done, Adrian. ( just catching up with reviews, connection probs all week)

I allways prefer moody weather to be honest. You never know what your going to get next with the weather like this... Smile
