Taj Mahal

By philhomer
On the return route from our Tiger Safari at Bandhavgarh, we visited the Taj Mahal arriving before sunrise in order to capture the way in which the morning light coloured the building. This is a slightly later image and actually has only been sorted out from the archive as the owner of our local Indian restaurant wants a framed copy.

The trick we thought to achieving a reasonable imaegs was to NOT shoot it with a symetrical viewpoint as that is very much the norm. Personally i love the distant figures demonstrating the scale of the building.

I also visited the Taj at sunrise and what a magical place it is. What I found is that when everyone walks through the entrance they just stand there and go Ohooooo!

I have a picture just the same as this one, just to the one side of central. One of the local guides there said NO! stand here in the centre but I would not. I like you wanted to have a capture just that little bit different than the usual shot. I'd ;ove to go back there again.
