  • High and dry by oldbloke

I have a series of photographs of this wreck taken at about the same time as yours. I believe the boat has now gone.

  • Cauldron Spout. by UKMike2013

This waterfall is on the River Ure in West Burton, Wensleydale, North Yorkshire. It is very accessible and only a short stroll from the village centre and consequently is often photographed.
Thank you for the positive comments

Zeiss have entered a cul-de-sac of design and concept, supplying a solution to questions that were never asked.

    I will stick with Marmite

An outstanding lens no doubt - but an absurd size! Can't see many carrying anything like that for a 50mm.

A lot of noise on those ISO320 pictures! Ridiculous price and stupid dependence on a phone, you are never going to have enough hands to operate it - this is a FAIL with me I'm afraid.

  • Posted on: Gillis London Full Frame Shoulder Bag Review

It would have been useful to know the weight of the bag - and I'm not certain that the cow involved would support the environmentally sympathetic message. I am not the target market for this one

Lovely camera - although the comment about some "photographers" not being able to focus a rangefinder camera shows how automation has removed some of the basic operational skills.
On reflection, I found that something of a sad statement - to some extent I feel that the apparatus shouldn't get in the way of the creativity, but on the other hand it feels a little like going hiking and not knowing how to tie your bootlaces. I must be getting old!
As for the Leica if I could afford one I would buy one without a doubt.

Interesting concept but not pocketable, so it would make more sense to pay the extra 50 for the 700D

  • Posted on: Panasonic Lumix GH3 Review

I am a little confused by the price of the GH3 which is much too high, and particularly the size, which has grown to be bigger than the consumer DSLRs from Canon and Nikon.
With no mirror to flip up I would have expected a more compact camera. This, The OM-D and the Sony SLTs should perhaps be grouped as "Interchangeable Lens Bridge Cameras".
