Rocky Mountains

This summer I was fortunate in being able to spend a couple of months on Vancouver Island. On my way there I took the Rocky Mountaineer train from Calgary to Vancouver and this is one taken from the train. It was a wonderful two-day journey, can't recommend it enough.

I think maybe there is too much of a tree thing going on the way I have cropped the image but there are indeed an awful lot of trees there so I guess it's representative of the area!

Truly a beautiful place. I lived in Vancouver for 7 years way back in the early 60's. I understand Vancouver Island has changed a lot since then!

I like the trees - especially the diagonal line they create across the shot. Beautiful landscape!
