Sorry and many thanks to all those who commented on my last upload, I prefer this version, all comments welcome
Like this one Tony
Wow Cheryl that was quick, many thanks
A beautiful portrait lovely tones and a beautiful little girl.
Little bit 'filtered' for me Tone...but still has it's appeal.
Cheers Pauline and Hermin, your comments are appreciated
This is stunning. The expression on the girl's face is delightful, and the post production is excellent. The framing, including the bold use of plenty of black space, really sets this off extremely well. A great shot, which deserves to be added to your collection of ECs. Click.
personally i think its stunning
hello- please could I ask how you get the black background without losing detail from the model? are you using film or digital?
Just love the proportions of space/figure
forgot to ask-do you print and if so is the quality as good as the online image? If it is what printer would you recommend please?
connie (so many questions and so litle time!)
Hi Connie, I just use a black sheet about a metre behind the model and a flash head facing a brolly which gives you a less harsh light.
I only use digital, its my first ever camera.
Yes I do print, and the quality of the print is far better than the image onscreen and the picture you see is much smaller and compressed for this site, than the one I would print.
I personaly use an Canon i9100, there are better printers like the epson 2100 and probally loads more but it was a balance against cost of printer and ink and quality, I am more than happy with the results, hope that answers your questions
Love it. The framing works a treat too
Just beautiful Tony. Lovely crop. Shes a beauty. PAul
Beautiful, she looks like and angel.
I prefer this version too. Not sure if it needs so much space at the top though. Skin tones are excellent.
Lovely shot - can't think of anything more to say - it's just beautiful.
Many thanks for all the comments
dear ukuwi, re your reply:
many thanks, Ionly take "accidental" snaps and then play in PS but will certainly give this a try!!
So do I Connie
Now that it lovely,You get such softness to your portraits.
georgous Tony, it's nice to see you back ...gay builders convention in Corfu or somewhere wasn't it????
Hope you had a lovely Christmas.
...by the way, that excellent modification on my Bolton Abbey picture, forgot to ask how you did the water?
Ah, thats lovely. Really like the composition, like she's looking out of a window.
She's such a little cutie! Gorgeous portrait!! Love it!
Very nice framing and a lovely style of image. Really like this whole series.
great photography tony and yes that was me in a pic u comment about deborah! )
I like this one the best out of the series Tony. Her expression makes it. I'm looking forward to the time when Mel and me have a Mini-me or two so we can exploit them as models too, when they are not sweeping chimneys that is ;o)
I noticed that you asked a question in January on my pic of my Mum. Sorry I didn't answer it (I hate when people don't answer mine) but I seemed to have stopped getting notifications on that pic.
My Mum loves that pic and she was really chuffed when it won a EC. I printed her out all the pages of comments so she could show her mates and brag how she was an award winning model.
Happy 30!! Missed your photos lately and just looking through the portfolio....a pleasure to view...
Love this shot!
