awesome work

Would you mind sharing the technique for bringing the colours of her hair so striking?

Is it a case of dodge and burn?

Thanks

Love this - nice background too, I think that's where I keep getting it wrong!

Loving the colours and depth of field.

Nice one!

thanks folks!
leedsgh:
first of all, the light is set with one lamp (honeycomb grid) from above, centering the light, and bringing contrast to the raw shoot.
then, I spend some time in capture one, bringing details into the photo before converting.
I add contrast, (in my own special wayWink), and after that, I created a layer adjustment layer, with color balance. the photo is originally filled with warm tones, but to bring out the relatively cold background, I added the layer. then, I brushed out her hair to preserve her red color.
after that, a strong unsharp mask (100/40/2) in a new layer, opacity 20%.
that's about itSmile

Floyde: that is....a disturbing blob on our wall...:-(.

I really like the intensity of your images, they have an immediate impact on the viewer and have an 'edge' which sets them apart from the usual portraits.
