Another of the Creation team (pun intended btw

) from Donington.
This was taken on the main straight using a higher shutter speed as I was stood on top of one of the view banks, which meant that it was even more blustery. Can't remember the focal length without checking, but was about 300mm. However, because the cars are travelling much more quickly here, the higher shutter speed still captures plenty of blurred background. The cars were also heading into the bright sun at this point of the race, so the shadows come into play behind the car and the light is nice and contrasty.
I was after a poster effect again and was very please with this as the background is very uncluttered. I have a few taken a few metres earlier which have a light patch in the fence, so I've binned them.
One other point to note is that I was using a polariser all day for two reasons - 1) boost the saturation of the colours (hence the green green grass) and 2) reduce shutter speed to allow me to use a shallower DOF.
Other than that, I think this one has a slight crop (can't believe that I had the grass going directly to the corner of the frame?) and the usually S curve in C1LE.
