This little leaf looked as though it had been breakfast before it went into my bunch of flowers, I liked the fact that it wasn't perfect.
Not sure why the white line is round the edge, to do with the exposure I expect so if someone can tell me what I did wrong I'd be grateful as I've had this before on flowers and leaves.
All comments appreciated.

Interseting choice of leaf, often in photography you search out the best specimens you can find but in this case it works well.

Beautiful colour and detail Anne love the use of space.
I think the white line is refered to chronic abberation and in some packages like PSP9 there is a filter to help with this problem....BUT I'm probably
Hope your feeling better.

Thank you everyone, doesn't look as sharp now it's on here. Still struggling with the dof on the macro lens, hard to get the hang of it.
I've heard of that Mark, and feeling much better thanks

Looks like the light is just catching the edge and has resulted in a bright highlight that is just burning out. I'd like to have seen sharpness across the whole of the leaf for this type of abstract. I like the luminous quality of the light coming through the leaf and the presentation is eyecatching.

Like the composition of this - very different. I have been working on a shot of some leaves and had the same effect with a similar line around some edges. I think it is just bright highlights as previously mentioned.

As Krimage - I think the burnt highlight is because you have maybe overexposed the leaf very slightly for the vivid detail in the leaf and the edges have become slightly clipped. As krimage, eye catching, Cheers, Martin

Think it is something to do with Canon Flossie. They seem to sharpen things themselves and if you happen to give it a tweak with a bit of sharpness it shows up as this white line ! Missing you xx
