advice please!

i've taken this lovelly photo of my dog jake, but i need help to sort ut his eyes! when ever i take a photo of him this happens, and i cant figure out how to change them in ps, but still make them look realistic! any ideas? please!

You need to select the eyes and decrease the saturation.

Or avoid using the flash if possible.

i have the same problem with some of my dog pics try taking pic of dog in brightly lit room or outside it is very dificult to get a natural effect with direct flash try to soften the flash with a bit of tissue paper

Another idea, use your red eye reduction mode on your camera. Their eyes work the same as ours. I had a play at your picture. Hope you don't mind. I can email you the results. my email is ericacameron@cox.net. Just put epz in subject so I don't delete you by accident.

Have you seen the EPZ tutorial on red-eye reduction Vicky? You can find it by clicking HERE the method of doing it with PS is to be found at the bottom.

thankyou guys for your help! i really apreciate it, i'm gonna have another play with the photo and if i feel happy with the result i'll post it.
