Fish for her tea.

Fish for her tea.Pose, perch and with a fish make the ideal image of a Kingfisher, over processed and too much sharpening have not done it any favours, sorry but that is my honest opinion and not ment to offend.

A country walk

A country walkA well composed image, like the use of the old stone wall and hedge as a lead in, but I think the sky is a bit over worked and has effected the tops of the tree's making them too dark. I think I would have used the sky as a background layer worked on it and then added the foreground layer, doing it this way you could remove the original sky showing through the tree's as well. This is only my opinion and is not ment to offend in any way, have a go I think it's worth a try.

ShineI have tried this shot myself and found the you need a lot of colours to make the reflections work, also the rim of the wheel makes a good distorted effect and you can get different colours on the spokes. Try spinning the wheel with a slow shutter speed as this give a great effect if you can get it to reflect of something, I used glass and a black background and it worked well, have a try.
