Return of the Wheel

By VintageRed
A shameless return to a previous composition but I hope you'll be tolerant. I wanted to re-visit this particular location and see what if anything hdr could bring to the image. Have to say though, I couldn't really improve on the angle of view but I do like some of the tones throughout.

I'm pleased with the result. Thanks for viewing and for any comments you might leave.

As you say - the composition stands as good.
HDR processing well matches the subject and mood.
Great image.

This HDR technique certainly produces a wide tonal range and I like the image. Maybe a little over saturated??? But then, with your record, who am I to judge!!!
Nick, isn't it time you had a permanent camp site in Padley Gorge!!

Super composition and great detail in the trees.
I'm no landscape expert so my views don't really count but to me it says 'HDR' just a little too much and the very top corners have a strange colouration, almost like vignetting that pull in the sides to give a slight distortion to the image.
Hope you don't mind me mentioning it, it is still a lovely shot.

I like your use of HDR Nick. It seems to be more subtle than some of the ones we see. Good colours.

From what I remember of the previous version, this is better.
