On the Quay

By VintageRed
Today's offering is from the delightful town of Whitby. I'd been after this particular shot for a while. I wanted the background completly out of focus but still recognisable to those who are of the deep fried tuber persuasion (it's a good fish and chip shop!)

Hope you enjoy - the image I mean, not the chips!

Nick.

nice fishing image. Like the use of depth of field here draws your attention straight to the subject. The exposure looks good as well the colours are all nice and natural but stand out.

Nice use of depth of field to create a bold take on an often shot subject.

Good colour and foreground detail. Not sure if there's too much background blur though, but I guess if there was less blur then the foreground would'nt seem so crisp and detached. Decisions, decisions .....

There is enough DOF here to make the subject stand out from the background, eyt still retain sufficient detail in the background. Nicely seen and shot.
