Breaking up is hard to do

By VintageRed
The last of the wreck series, I promise, but I wanted to post this one because I think it answers some of the comments posted on the earlier two - thanks to all who did so.

This composition is perhaps the most conventional in it's use of the thirds but it also works for me in its use of perspective and I think it make stronger use of the flailing metal strand by using it to frame the sun. The slightly larger size within the frame also allows this particular aspect to echo the nab itself.

The title is really testament to how long this wreck has withstood the power of the sea. An image on Stevem's site shows this wreck in 1979 and I understand it had been there for two years already at that stage.

I trust I havn't tested your patience too much with three similar images but I thought all had their merits and in all honesty, I was just so chuffed with the results.

Thanks for viewing.
